The FSI Mathe/Physik is active all the time and organizes several events:

•  Once a week, the FSI has a meeting.
• Once or twice every month, at the Lecture Hall Cinema, a movie is shown via the projector in a lecture hall. Most of these movies are in German, but usually at least one movie per semester is shown in English.
•  At the event UFUF („Unsere Fakultät – Unsere Forschung“ – translated „Our Faculty – Our Research“) professors present to the students their research.
• At the „Board Game Night “ students meet to spend an evening together playing board and card games. Snacks are for free!
• The Lecture Hall Quiz every semester is a pub-quiz in a lecture hall.
• Once a year, during the corresponding semester, there is the Winter-/Sommerfest. We organize this party together with Biology students and everyone is invited. These parties are highly popular – some even see them as highlight of the semester.
•  Annually at the university’s elections (Hochschulwahlen), the students elect their representatives for the committees of the university. The candidates from the Maths and Physics departments mostly come from our ranks.
• Once a semester within the Physics and the Maths departments, we award the PfbEidL („Preis für besonderes Engagement in der Lehre“ – translated „award for extraordinary commitment to teaching“) to a professor, exercise tutor or lab session supervisor.
