You might still remember the day you arrived at FAU. A few things were probably quite confusing and getting along in your everyday life may not have been as smooth as it was supposed to be during your first days here in Germany. Not to mention the hassle with university and city administration.

Maybe there was a buddy to help, maybe you were all on your own.

In any case, we are currently searching for new buddies who help to welcome international newcomers to FAU. Buddies introduce our new students to the city, assist with minor challenges they face when arriving here (where to buy a bicycle, where to find a sim card,…) and help them to socialize in the new environment.

Just send a short e-Mail to patrik.stoer@fau.de (the coordinator of this programme) with your name, field of study, your address, age and any additional information you would like to give. As a last remark, due to the pandemic it is not sure yet how many new internationals will arrive and how many buddies will be needed in the end, but in any case Patrik Stör is looking forward to hearing from you!
